Finding Ways to the Oracle Garden

Garden of Kafkarna, Prague (October 2023)

In the wild garden of Kafkarna, Centre for Art and Ecology in Prague, LATERNA created a guided walk for the audience to experience the Garden of Kafkarna in new ways. Finding Our Way to the Oracle Garden, was created specifically for the Garden of Kafkarna in collaboration with CAN - Concerned Artists Norway and Nina Ossavy, Liv Nome and Martin Virgil.

LATERNA created an overall choreographic structure where we guided the audience through the old workshop and atelier building of Kafkarna and into the garden. Through a guided body scan and grounding meditation, the audience was invited to get more in touch with themselves, here and now and the garden. On the way we served spagyric elixir as a way to connect with trees in Oslo as well as to all entities in the very garden, and during the guided walk, we invited in different manners into interaction and shared felt sense of this place. The audience were also invited to feel into something they wanted to let go of, which they wrote secretly on a piece of paper, that were later burned on the fire. Weaving with the art and practices of Liv and Martin, we all ended up around the fireplace, and had a nice time participants, locals and artists together.
